More efficient management of care homes will deliver better care
We applaud the recent report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation - My Home Life: promoting quality of life in care homes.
Part of the report called on the Government and statutory agencies to work on streamlining paper work to reduce the amount of time that care home managers spend on bureaucracy, freeing up more time to make sure that all care is relationship-centred and residents are given more voice, choice and control over how they are cared for.
We would add that software is available that is easy to use and can be installed very quickly and cost-effectively, to help care homes and in fact other private and public care organisations do exactly that; free up massive amounts of time to enable staff to concentrate on what they do best – caring for our friends and relatives and offering the dignified existence they all deserve.
In support of the Rowntree Foundation’s recommendations, we are more than happy to sit down and discuss with any public and private sector care organisation the enormous benefits of adopting more efficient working systems.
