Aquarium Engages further technology to spice up Pepper portfolio

Jun 06, 2017

Less than two years after the multi-national Pepper Finance Corporation Ireland (trading as Pepper Money and Pepper Asset Servicing) commissioned Aquarium Software to deliver bespoke loan and asset management software for its Asset Servicing Arm, the FINTECH specialist is now supplying Pepper with its latest technology platform – Aquarium Engage. Having assisted Pepper to improve and digitise customer journey management (CJM), Engage is now deployed across a range of core functions, including asset management, loan servicing, complaints handling, direct lending and CCR notification - while integration with several third party systems is delivering additional efficiencies.

Pepper is one of the leading specialist loan servicing companies in the UK and Ireland, providing tailored services to investor and banking clients, and boasting over 600,000 customers worldwide. With over €17 billion of loan and commercial real estate under management, Pepper entered the Irish market in September 2012 and has offices in Dublin and Shannon and adaptability was key requirement for the new software.

“Aquarium’s relationship with Pepper has developed from the initial project where we proved we could successfully interface with existing third party systems,” said Mark Harrop, Director with Aquarium Software Ireland. “So when a supremely adaptable agent platform, capable of being rolled out across multiple departments was required, Pepper knew we could deliver; improving CJM, while at the same time enabling internal business, client requests and regulatory changes to be implemented quickly and cost-effectively.

Thanks to the sheer adaptability of the software, Engage is now configured across the Pepper business, while the intuitive Engage UI assists in the easy transition of agents from one area to another, yet also enhances Pepper’s ability to harbour new clients effectively.

“Given Aquarium’s work for the Asset Management division, we had no hesitation in approaching Mark and his team again with this new project,” said CFO of Pepper Ireland, Chris Helme. “CJM is naturally a key feature for us, but we also needed software that allows our agents to follow the necessary processes in a compliant manner and Engage has fulfilled the brief.”
